Resistance Management through Brassica Crop–TuMV–Aphid Interactions: Retrospect and Prospects

Turnip mosaic virus (TuMV) is an important threat to the yield and quality of brassica crops in China, has brought serious losses Far East, including China north. Aphids (Hemiptera, Aphidoidea) are main mediators TuMV transmission field production, not only have strong ability (small individuals, concealment, fecundity), but also influenced by environment, making them difficult control. Till now, there been few studies on resistance aphids crops, which depended mainly pesticide control agriculture production. However, effect was temporarily effective, environmental pollution, residues food products, destroyed ecological balance. This study reviews relationship among crop–TuMV, TuMV–aphid, crop–aphid interactions, reveals influence factors (light, temperature, CO2 concentration) crop–TuMV–aphid summarizing current research status scientific problems about interactions. It may provide theoretical guidance for opening up new ways aphid management crops.
